My current rig :
CPU : intel g620 @ 2.6Ghz dual core processor
GPU : Geforce GT 520 2GB
RAM : 2GB iball ram (not good)
MoBo : Dunno (how can i know the model?)
PSU : again its a iball case which comes with inbuilt psu and i dunno how much watt it is

For the past 2 years I am having pretty bad experience, since this PC runs almost every game but at ultra LOWEST settings and at time becomes crappy as well (constant fps drops all of a sudden).

So I decided to upgrade my pc, here is what I have setup (I'm not rich, so on budget :D)
CPU: fx 8320, fx 6300, core i3 4130 [THIS IS WHERE I AM MOST CONFUSED](need best below 10k INR)
GPU : r7 260x, r9 270, gtx 750 ti
RAM : 4 GB corsair vengeance (or 8 if i could spare 2k more)
MoBo: dunno
PSU : will decide if i actually need a change in this area

So Sirs, please help me choose a decent CPU and tell me which mobo should be compatible and be best for the price, also how can i know my current MoBo model and how much power my current PSU offers.

The pc is generally used ONLY FOR GAMING, other stuff include websurfing, youtube, movies, etc.

I currently play games like battlefield 3,4, assassins creed 4, crysis 3, farcry 3, gta IV (V?), Hitman absolution, and lots others lol.

And finally my max budget for all the above stuff is 25k INR ($ 405.25).
Thanking You,
Warm regards,
Satyam

EDIT: Oh and i forgot to mention I'm getting 5% discount on my next 7 electronics i buy from amazon.co.in so that could come in handy

the gpus u advice of are too costly and wouldnt the i3 3220 bottleneck r9 270x.
this will lead me out of budget, and i really am googling for ways i can know what model of mobo i have, i will reply back in a few minutes about my mobo.
and the psu, theres no way apart from opening up my case, but i guess its around 200 watt, considering my current rig requirements.
thanks for the reply.

Best low budget choice,

Grand total: Rs.27,571

Well I know it's over your budget so can you afford it or get 4GB RAM. And what model of iball cabinet do you have? The PSU quality will not be good so cabinet will be changed along with PSU . I too am from India. Sell old parts on OLX or Quickr for more cash to buy.

I might be of help, even though this is just my 2 cents worth, Make sure that your PSU will take the power.
It is one place you DO NOT want to cheap out or make a mistake. If it came with the PC and it's pre-built, chances are that it won't take the extra load of a BF4 capable GPU and a quad or dual core late gen CPU
but in terms of parts;

The same Mobo as Alan suggested or a H81M by ASRocK or B85M PRo-4 (both epic, the z97 chip-set isnt that big of a deal in my opinion), plus maybe a lower end i5, as you are thinking of Crysis and battlefield, let alone Absolution and the awaited for GTA V...Cos that quad core will help with that processing.
so my biggest concern other than that is to see if you can squeeze in a bigger GPU on compromise for things you don't need, but if not, the r9 270 is an epic choice (From my opinion and experience)

But for that budget.....I mean man...I'd say try to put a little more in it as you are currently borderline in terms of budget between mediocore and awesome (in terms of your needs that is), as $405 is very low, maybe 200 more would string you an i5 + a gpu and maybe a PSU swap

As I said though...my 2 cents XD
Hope it helped :)

But in India all electronics are about 40$ costiler!

g3258 really? dual core? umm really sure? and i was thinking over hexa, octa core processor, i'll rethink over that.

Comparison between AMD and Intel in GTA IV.

AMD(FX-8350, GTX 750)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCSV_jfseKg

Intel(G3258, GTX 750)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wfx1ovbGAu4

Intel has better single core utilization and is better for gaming than AMD. AMD is better for editing works. No game uses more than 4 cores at most. Just OC it a bit there will be no problem.
As you can see there the Intel build has lower specs but better performance. Any other doubts?

hmm so a good PSU is necessary.
what about this
CPU : fx 6300
http://www.amazon.in/AMD-6-Core-Edition-FX-6300-Processor/dp/B009O7YORK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416729790&sr=8-1&keywords=fx+6300

GPU : R7 260x
http://www.amazon.in/Sapphire-260X-2GB-GDDR5-2xDVI/dp/B00GQRFTM0/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416729841&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=spphire+r7+260x

RAM : 4 gb Corsair Vengeance
http://www.amazon.in/Kingston-HyperX-Gaming-PC3-14900-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8YNE/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1416729876&sr=8-8&keywords=ram

MoBo couldnt find the asrock MoBo on amazon.

Totals to around 19.7k with the discounts i get so i have 5k more for PSU and MoBo (i might consider increasing budget a bit)

well the benchmark shows its ok to get 3258 and that'll save me few K's too, but isnt dual core bad?
i was actually thinking to get a quad core for the least, but if it's really not necessary then i might reconsider.
what about fx 4100? any other suggestions for cpu and mobo?

OC means that i'll need get some after market fans too.
and hey your name doesnt suggest you are Indian :p
if there is not much difference in 3258 and i3 4150, and 3258 can max out bf3,4 and others then i'll just get 3258.
along with r7 260x, 4gb corsair ram, 550 watt corsair vs550, MSI B85M-G43.(i need this? ms 7788 is compatible or not?)
rate this?

this makes me think twice for the 3258 just look at his settings, im playing bf3 same settings just lower the reso more, and getting 50 fps(though fps drops might occur). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhb0ut1EqQQ

NO NO NO NO NO LOL
This cpu choice is making me crazy.
OKAY i have decided for the most part
GPU : Sapphire Radeon R7 260X (Rs. 9499/-)
MoBo : MSI B85M-G43 (Rs. 5700/-)
RAM : Corsair Vengeance - 4GB (Rs. 3000/-)
PSU : Corsair VS550 - 550 Watt (Rs. 3000/-)

TOTAL : Rs. 21199/-

Now what remains is a CPU right?
SO guyssss please help me get to a decision, a cpu near about 5k-7k that can high/max out few latest games at atleast 720p (max 900p) thankssss........

And hey Alan do reply bro, you sure my current rig could get me some money through olx/quickr ?

i3 4130-4803 points , Pass Mark
G3258 - 4000 points
When you get the aftermarket cooler for G3258 , must add $30 ! Overclocking might get you in huge trouble . Furthermore G3258 is pretty new and the mobo might need BIOS update .

At the moment two new games , refuse to accept pure 2 core CPUs and a lot of gamers are waiting for a fix . i hope , they will launch one as soon as possible .

G3258 reportedly causes stuttering in some games.

well guys after thinking for a long time and searching youtube and google, i finally came up with these cpus for the discussion
1) pentium g 3258
2) i3 4130/4150
3) fx 6300

I am finally considering for fx 6300, cuz as i initially asid my pc is used 99% of the time for gaming and im pretty sure future and latest games will be quadcore requiring, single threaded things might be a bit slow but they wont be laggy with the 6300, this seems to be best match for me.
So final config as follows
CPU : AMD FX-6300
GPU : RADEON R7 260X
MoBo : MSI B85M G43
RAM : Corsair vengeance 4 gb DDR3 1600 mhz
PSU : Cossair VS 550 550 watt

guys please rate this build and tell me if there's any incompatibility.
Thanks and regards.
