ssd and ram question

so i was thinking of buying another ssd but just for storage , is the installation just as easy as with a reguler harddrive?:) like this guy shows in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2kcJH8ASN8&list=FLwaRDdT1FROQdOWsw0RyNnw&index=15 or do you gotta do something else? also i have 2x4 gb ram i was thinking of buying 16gb more soon. do you gotta do something in pc after adding the ram on motherboard? , im new to pc stuff still learning alot :)!!

If it's only going to be used for storage an HDD will give you more capacity for less money compared to an SSD. You wouldn't gain any of the speed benefits on an SSD if just storing files on it.

When you add RAM, your PC & OS should recognise it automatically, but you must make sure your motherboard RAM slots support the module capacities you intend to put in them (ie no good buying 8 GB module if slots can only support 4 GB max).

The is no such thing as a "SATA III" cable. They are all the same except for their quality. It's a con by vendors to screw more money out of you. By all means buy good quality SATA cables, but SATA II & SATA III applies only to the drives, not to the cable you need to connect them with. All the cables are...

ill get 2 1tb harddrives instead then. my motherboard is an msi z97-g43 http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z97G43.html#hero-specification dim slot 4? means that i can only have 4gb in one slot? so i cant use an use 2x8gb? only 2x4gb ?:)
