Gigabyte mobo intermittent no-POST/no-boot issue

I built a new system about 6 months ago:
Gigabyte B85M-HD3
Haswell 4440 CPU
Kingston 4Gig DDR3-1600
Gigabyte 650W Greenpower PSU

This system ran fine for about 6 months. Then, it developed a problem where the system would start up (PSU fan, CPU fan and case fan all spinning, but would not POST -- no beep and nothing displayed on screen, with fans still spinning until manually switched off at PSU).

I've since replaced the RAM (which did not solve the problem) and the motherboard (to a
Gigabyte H97M-D3H, which did not solve the problem). I've since reverted back to the B85M board.

I booked the rig in to a support shop asking them to isolate and check the CPU and the PSU for issues. They could not reproduce the problem I was having (machine POSTed every time it was switched on or reset). The tech had all the components out of the case for their testing (not sure if this is significant).

I am running the machine off a 10-point powerstrip attached to a single wall outlet (240V [16A I think]). Once I plugged the power cord in to a different socket on the power strip, the issue seemed to go away for about a week. Now the problem has started up again.

Would really appreciate help with this, especially if anybody else has encountered the same problem with same/similar hardware.

TIA

This issue was definitely due to a faulty PSU. Once I swapped out the GreenPower with a cheap iSonic 400W unit I had lying around, the problem disappeared. I'm still not sure why the PSU performed perfectly when I had it back in the tech lab...
