Purely based on gaming.

Will games utililize more than 4 cores? If so what does this mean for AMD cpus and will they start to show more competition in gaming ?

Should I stay with my fx 8350 or swap it out for an intel i5 3570k ?

Most likely Intel. Since the launch of the PS4/One (Which both have AMD 8 core CPUs), not many games have really benefited from the 8 core FX CPUs. I'd say Intel will still be better in the long run unless every dev just decides that all games should use 8 cores

I'm not concerned about costs and neither am I asking what is better. I'm asking, what will be better from NOW for the next couple of years. I know intel is a bit better right now.
