Neither actually.
You would be better running 2 x 4Gb OR 2 x 8Gb as this will enable dual channel.
As soon as you populate only 1 of the other slots in addtion to this, you loose that performance boost.

If you want 12GB, the best is 2x4 GB + 2x2 GB. If a motherboard supports triple channel, you can do 3x anything. But generally, only dual channel is supported.

@NightAntilli, Thanks for the reply, i think i'll buy 2x4GB DDR3 RAM (Pack).

Problem is I've a new Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 RAM, which i had bought for my old PC, before buying i forgot about my AM2+ Processor.
