Anything i should know before getting a six-core CPU?

After finding out that Dragon age Inquisition refuses to play on anything less than quad core (b***ards!) i thought i should update my triple core to a 6 core

Is there anything i should know before getting one? like if my computer is compatible or anything? Its a pretty good computer; it can run Shadow of Mordor on 60 fps.
And please be aware that i'm a moron when it comes to computers.

Find out what socket motherboard you have as the 6350 will only work with AM3+ motherboards

My mother board is a Foxconn - model: 2AA9H - chipset: AMD, 780g
and my graphics card is a ASUS radeon 7870

if you mobo is that in that link then it is not support the fx cpus because fx cpus need a socket am3+ which not spported by this mobo
