every time a play a steam game all i can see is the top left corner of the screen

Every time i play team fortress 2 or no more room in hell, all i can see is the top left corner of my screen in full screen mode and i cant see anything else but black... I need help guys!!

This may sound funny but Whenever i used to play GTA san andres , and while ingame minimize it and then reopen it < The problem which u r facing used to come, and all i was doing was pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and then pressing the Back arrow icon and my game used to start perfectly......................................you can try this if you want but i suggest you to run it as admin or in compability mode...
