Hi,

I want to upgrade my HP with a GTX 760 and 750w PSU. I have a 60Hz monitor also, and I read somewhere that 60Hz monitors give screen tearing and limit what you are actually seeing by 60 FPS.

Is this true? If so, would a 120Hz monitor be better?

I am planning to run games like CSGO on it.

Thanks in advance,

~Jordan

Well it does not always cause screen tearing if your fps is high than your monitors refresh rate. Sometimes it will depending on the situation or game.

The only reason to get a monitor with a 120 rate is if you can actually get 120 fps consistently, in order to get the most out of it. When the fps is combined with the refresh rate, that is what you will get what you are truly experiencing.
