So I've done plenty of research about the best options, but I still feel like asking a knowledgeable base of people about my specific situation is the best way to get an accurate opinion.

Currently I'm running a GTX 750 Ti FTW edition with a 4790k oc'd to 4.8 GHz. I plan to upgrade my gpu without question, but it's a matter of what to upgrade to at this point. Obviously my cpu is currently way ahead of my gpu in terms of power. My options would be:
GTX 780 Ti
GTX 970
R9 290x

I use my computer for gaming mostly, I play league of legends (which obviously I don't need a high end gpu for), mmo's, and some other games like Titanfall and who knows what else in the future. I'm running dual monitors and I have a custom water cooling loop in my rig.

I intend to overclock my graphics card and would be willing to add a gpu waterblock if necessary. I would also be willing to flash/hack the gpu bios to unlock its full potential (I know the 780Ti can crank out some crazy results with hacks). I've heard good things about all of them (970, 780Ti, and 290x) but can't seem to decide.

Which gpu would you suggest if cost (in this price range, don't suggest a 980) and power usage arent an issue? In addition, what specific models are good/bad for each? I've heard the 780Ti Kingpin edition is insane in terms of power, for example.

Thanks SO much for your help, in advance!

I was leaning that way until I started doing more research and looking at benchmarks. As I said in my original post, TDP isn't an issue no matter what, I'm not worried about the electrical bill and I'll water cool it if I have to. The 970 has gotten a lot of good reviews, but everywhere I look the 780Ti just spanks it in raw performance; not to mention if I hacked and overvolted it. Which, as far as I know, is not an option on the 970. I guess, other than electrical and fiscal efficiency, I don't understand why to go with the 970, but everyone seems to say to.

So then am I wrong to I assume that I will get better performance out of a hacked and oc'd 780 Ti than I will get with an oc'd 970? The benchmarks and statistics seem to show this trend.
