Why won't my computer stay connected to the wifi?

I have had issues with my ppcs wifi recently and really want to get it fixed one way or another. It is not my connection because I can use my s tab when I'm sitting next to my computer. My computer is the opposite side of the house to the router and I don't know if this affects it because it seems to be fine for everything else in my room other than my computer!

And is there an access point between router and your computer?... an access point is a repeater, not the actual router.

I'm also guessing that's what the software thinks... If it shows poor reception while other devices receive a good signal... it may be the wifi adapter has issues.

Does it still have poor connection when it's showing 4 bars?

Try resetting it following the instructions below. If that doesn't help, move it to a different USB port, and if still nothing, next try a different adapter.

It obviously is your computer...
1. what type, brand and model of Wi-Fi adapter are you using?.
2. Is the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar indicating good or bad reception by the number of bars and size?
3. Right click on the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar and select "Open Network and Sharing Center", click on "Troubleshoot problems"... see what cause is detected.

I'm using a netgar adapter.
It can be up to 4 bars but mainly stays around 1 or 2 bars.
It saY's that there is a problem with the access point or something like that
