hello
i am in the middle of a legendary preformance per liter build but i have run into sone trouble, im runnning the evga x99 micro with two gtx 980's in it but having them in the first two slots makes the top one heat up like mad.
And so i deided to move the lower one one slot down, but then the computer just says it doesnt have enough resources to run it.
Now i have the 5820k and with that the pci-e lane distribution is x16(first slot),x8(second slot) and x4(third slot) and does not support lane redistribution, i do not understand what the issue is and if/how it could be fixed so any help would be greatly appreciated.

hope to hear from you soon

You can always upgrade the CPU to one that has 40 PCI-E lanes instead of the 28 lanes that is on your current one. That would resolve your issue since the limitation is in the CPU not the motherboard..
