Corsair CX600
8GB RAM
Asus M5A97 Mobo

Is my psu good enough to oc the 8320 and handle a gtx 970 without problems. If so, how much can i oc

You have all the components you need, besides a CPU cooler. Make sure you get a good one as the FX-8xxx series processors get hot quite easily.

I have to disagree on this, automatic overclocking of any kind is a bad idea, particularly if it's OS-based. Overclocking should always be done manually within the BIOS to ensure stability at startup and give you more control over voltage.

OP, if you're not sure how to get started, this is the guide I used; http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/272214-29-wolfram-beginner-guide-overclocking.

what do you reccomend i put my values at when i overclock (I have never done this before and would not like to fry my new cpu)

Overclocking is never an exact science and I've never overclocked an AMD processor, so I can't give you specific parameters. Take a look at the guide I linked in my first post if you're unsure how to get started.

The most important aspect of overclocking is to ensure that you fully understand the process and the risks. Take your time and don't jump in at the deep end.

I have a fx 6120 that I overclocked and honestly it wasn't bottlenecking on bf4 multiplayer as used to
