How to query hibernation status

I know how to turn off hibernation, but how can I query if one of my software's is always activating it? Does win-7 have a way of confirming whether it is on or off?

You wouldn't happen to know of an online reference that would show and explain all CMD line switches like the old DOS days of past would you?
