Hi, I'm not much of a computer guy, and I only "built" my PC with the help of a website. My issue is that my Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 says it only has one core in task manager but when I google it listings for a 4 core come up under the same name. Did I break something or disable it by mistake? Thanks for the help.

Solution
you should go into your bios and check the settings there.
Look for "number of active cores" and "hyperthreading" , settings should be 4 cores and hyperthreading on.

Man I fixed it but I'm still not sure what caused it. I went to msconfig and selected normal boot and reset my PC and when I checked I had more cores. Just letting anyone know that had the same issue.
