I built my PC in the spring and now my friend wants me to build him one like mine. He has no budget but wants the price between 1500-2000. There is a little wiggle room on the upper bound. I told him I would sell him mine (so he doesnt have to wait for parts). He wants a high end gaming rig but I'm not sure if mine is high end:

Case: Phanteks Enthoo
CPU: i7 4790k
Mobo: Asrock Extreme 6
Corsair H100i
Gskill Ares 1600mhz ddr3 (16gb)
2 x Gigabyte GTX770 4gb Windforce 3x (sli)
Samsung 840 pro SSD (256gb)
Seagate 7200rpm HDD (500GB)
Rosewill Phantom 850w modular PSU

Are the Gtx 770's still holding their value? I was thinking of selling him this build for $2000. Too much or too little?

I bet I could make the same build with 2 980's for that much..... I dont know.

Advice?

the 4gb 770s are around the same price of a single 970 whil being less in performance

also for a used system i find 2k a bit too high

maybe you could just chane the GPUS to 2x 970 or 2x 980 and sell it?

if i remember correct 2 980s cost around 900$ while 2 770s cost around 700$

hope this helps!

Asking $2000 for your current tower would be highway robbery lol. I mean no offense though. I see similar builds sitting on craigslist for around $900-$1500 and they don't move for months. In your position, if I had a friend that was silly enough to do that, I'd charge him just enough to cover my next dream build, in a heartbeat. So in the case of the build I listed above, I'd go around $1,850. In the end, it's your friend lol
