Windows 7 Reinstall Question - SSD RAID Boot Drive

I built this rig about 9 months ago and there is all sorts of useless junk and some viruses present, so I am planning on just wiping the whole thing and re-installing windows. I have my disc and cd key but I have a few questions specifically about my build before I proceed; I have a boot disk which is comprised of 2 SSD's running in RAID 0 and then a large HDD used for storage.

I intend to wipe both drives and start all over so I am wondering if I should just go into "My Computer" and right click on the HDD and use the Format function? Is that the best way to go about it and then wipe the SSD's and reinstall from there?

I searched and found some info but nothing quite matching my scenario. Any advice or tips is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

buzznut,

I appreciate your answer, however I believe you misread my post;

"I am wondering if I should just go into "My Computer" and right click on the HDD and use the Format function?"

I wasn't asking about the SSD, I was asking about the HDD I use for storage. Please let me know.

Thanks!
