Solution
Corsair is good ram but you pay a premium price for it

vs
http://www.mylemon.at/artikel/mushkin/997121r/d3-16gb-2133-9-redline.html

take these two kits for example. they are both the same but why is the corsair so much more expensive? That is a question that the whole internet can answer.

I swapped from corsair to mushkin about 5 years ago, they are cheaper and I can overclock them more then a corsair kit. The reason I recommend g.skill and mushkin is they both use the same chips on their sticks. I would go g.skill/mushkin, Kingston, crucial, then corsair. the only reason I don't like corsair is they cost some much more for the same...
AutoCAD will like the E5 build better but if your not making a living off AutoCAD then I would go for the i7 build.

Not sure what pricing is over there but I would try and find some G.skill, mushkin, Kingston, or crucial ram with a better CL #

Mushkin redlines 2133MHz cl 9 for $154
corsair vengeance pro 2133MHz cl 11 $174

AutoCAD will thank you for a lower CL #

"AutoCAD will thank you for a lower CL"
that is the good info , I don't know that. tanx about it.
i will change the ram model.(f.e cl7 or cl8)

but the main question is about the technology of the mainboards!
one of them x99 and one other high end z97?
wich one do you sugest?!

if your just playing around with audocad and not making a living off it I would stay with the z97 build since its cheaper and nets you the same performance wise in games.

Unless your really into games and plan on doing 4 gtx 980's that would be my only reason to go with a x99 build right now, only because it has the pipelines on the pci-e x16 slots to handle the cards.

For audocad stay with a high MHZ and low cas #, a good combo of that would be a 2133MHz cas 9 ram.

Thank you.then so we have no more special thing in X99 , and the performence is like a good Z97.

more bandwith for grafic
& DDR4 rams
more cash on cpu
& .......

Are not realy important!
Z97 can do it very well as good as X99.

What do you use autocad for? Is it work related, do you get paid for work that you do on autocad?

pros of x99 platform
quad channel ram
3+ video cards
ddr4 ram

pros for z97 board
cheaper then x99 build
dual channel ram
can run up to 3 gpus

Your doing two things that don't work well with each other gaming and cad. A gaming build is ok for cad work and a cad build is horrible for gaming.

Since your saying that 70% of the time you will be gaming a i5 is optimal, since your wanting to do cad work you need an i7.

I just build my computer a month ago, it is only for gaming. i5 4670k, 16GB 2133MHz cas9, gtx 980. I never plan on going over 2 gpus if I ever add a second one so the extra lanes the x99 offer does nothing for me. If you can justify the price for the x99 for autocad then go for it.

I run autocad at work on a i5 2500k 8gb 1600mhz cas7 and two 560ti's -> I don't get paid to do autocad work we just have it so I play with it and my computer handles it just fine.

about the rams I find some
wich one is better? in all situvation. (look at the prices :D)

IF pricing is the same between a x99 build and z97 the go with the x99 build, here in the states the x99 still has a premium price over the z97 so that's why I opted out of it. Just remember to get the highest MHz ram with the lowest CAS #

AutoCad is mainly single thread software and does "almost" not make use of multicore or multi thread capable CPU’s. The Xeon E5 1620 V3 CPU scores 2108 points in passmark but the 4790K scores 2535 points in passmark.
So the Core i7 4790K is a clear choice for AutoCad and probably also for gaming. But for running single threaded software there are aslo other fast single threaded CPU’s or CPU’s that score high in single thread benchmarking tests like you can see in this website http://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html
So the 2011 socket multicore CPU’s are most often overkill for singlethread software.
