fraps low fps when recording to spare Hard Dirve!

Hi. I recently purhcased a 2tb hd to record with fraps but when I record to the seperate hard drive I only get like 7 fps which makes the game unplay able but when I record to the main hard drive that the game is running on it record just fine. I would appreciate any help/advice you could offer

Can you please confirm the differences between the HDDs? Are they SATA? Is the 'main' one an SSD?

the "main" hard drive is sata and 1tb
and the spare one im trying to recrord is 2tb and plugged in with sata too!

for now just use the first, then transfer the files as needed. do a bench of the hdd's, see if it's really slow

you could also try other sata ports, maybe you are using one with a different controller (3rd party?)

did you check the sata port if it was using a different controller?
or maybe run some bench on each hdd to see if one is significantly slower than the other

For the record, 7200rpm is just the speed that the harddrive spins. Actual data transfers can vary even though the RPM is the same.
