I have what I think is a decent system, 8350, H 100 cpu cooler, UD3 mother board, 16 gb ram, R9 270X 4gb vid card, 1000 watt psu. Been having a lot of crashes, so frustrating. Any suggestions?
You need monitor your CPU or GPU temp, install the HWiNFO64 http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php even you used the H100 cooler.
Also test the RAM one by one with MemTest86 http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
Also try don't oc the fx8350, if you oc it. Even under-clock the fx8350, that will test the MB VRMs, because other version has problem on those VRMs overheat.
Double check your MB version, if it is not the rev 4.0, and it is the MB overheat problem. I have seen a lot of people have this problem, I add some of them, and you can find more if you want. https://teksyndicate.com/forum/motherboards/gigabyte-ga-990fxa-ud3-rev-30-stay-away/139832
