Hi Guys ,

I am having a nightmare of a situation when my newly assembled pc with parts :

I7 5960X
CRUCIAL DDR4 2400 MHZ 64GB RAM
GTX TITAN BLACK
ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME ROG EDITION

My problem is that the bios is not detecting all the 64 gb of ram. It only detects around only 50Gb and sometimes it even gives an error '6F' on boot. The OS detects only 32gb even though 64gb was inserted and CPUZ detects 64GB. I am not sure what exactly is the problem. The Crucial customer service did mention that it is compatible with motherboard. My problem is that I am not very sure if it is a RAM issue or a motherboard issue. We did try to tweak the voltages of CPU and RAM but to no avail. Has anybody encountered this sort of an error ever ?

Please help as an urgent project needs to be rendered by this system and still not have figured out the problem.

Regards,
Sachin

Hi Petrossa,

I have done that already but to no avail.Crucial help desk wasn't able to help much. 8X8 gb RAM came in 2 packets( 4+4) , both are the same spec but can it be that different packet may have had a slight variation in the configuration in the RAM ?

Your help is much appreciated.

Regards,
Sachin

Exact same Issue 32 of 64GB are showing. CHA and CHB are always not detected even in bios. Tried moving ram around a couple times. No fix. Next I will try to test each one individually. If you find something out let me know.

I am having the same problem with the same motherboard. Second x99 mother board. Slots A1-A2 are not recognized. RAM was a 64gb set. It is approved by ASUS. Crusial. Had tried G-Skill and no change either. CPUz and AISuite 3 all recognise all 8 slots of RAM.
