Try the same solve. If no joy leave HT off, its possible your board cannot function that many threads, tho being frank if it is a two cpu board you would probably go slower with HT turned on.
i have been a month trying to find a way ...even i have posted this without getting any answer
i have a Dell precision case T5500, it's have a 2x xeon processor X5650 (12 cores 12 threads)...when i enable the hyperthreading from BIOS, it just reads one processor 6 cores 12 threads....why not 2 processors ( 12 cores 24 threads) ?
here's image of CPU
when i change to HT mode ...it reads 1socket 6cores logical processors 12
I've talked with dell tech support, they said update your bios and check your processors number again, but when i'm seachred about the last update and if people tried it, i found out that who tried the last bios updates they PC stopped working again :/
