Windows did 162 updayed on my Sony Vaio

Windows did 162 updated yesterday and when I turned my laptop on this morning I guess it was configuring them. It went to 100% and then my screen went black.
The laptop power button still shows that it's on, but the desktop screen is not returning. The power button will not switch on or off !
What can I do..... Please help !

Your only option at this point is to remove the battery, and also the power cord.

My guess is that since there were so many updates running at the same time, Windows got confused and got stuck. Usually a reboot will fix this, and the updates will continue where they left-off.
