Hello fellas,I want to build my own workstation computer,as buying one is to expensive for me,so I came across a few cheap components that could be a good build and wanted to hear the experts, as this is also my first build ever so maybe I'm doing something wrong.I know that there are better components but have in mind that money is an issue.

The build is gonna be something like this:

Processor: Intel Xeon E3-1225-v3 (8M Cache, 3.20 GHz ,no HT) [$320] --> CPU+MOBO+CASE

Motherboard: GA-Z87-HD3

RAM: 16GB Kingston Beast 2400MHz CL11 [$160] [apparently new,comes in package]

Graphics card :Integrated HD P4600 (certified for SW and others ($0) comes with cpu) or FirePro V7750 [$75] or Quadro FX3700 ($50)

Hard drive: WD 500GB ($45)

Power Supply : Enermax 525W 82+ ($25)

Case: Silverstone PS02B

The parts are all used as I can't afford to buy everything new.
Also I'm not from the US (Bosnia and Herzegovina/Europe) so the prices may vary, meaning,in my country all parts are about 15-30% more expensive (new).

Any suggestions on what to do or any no-go in my build?

What the heck are you thinking about?
Using the onboard vid card for this kind of work?.
Dude what software are you working with?Maya can utilize the cuda cores in the quadro. Max can utilize the radeon an quadro (both can work with both but it has been shown that maya works more efficiently with Nvidia hardware)
First and foremost if you are going to have it as a renderbox than ya go with the xeon. If a workstation than go with the top of the line i7 with a min 16gb and build a 256gb xeon box seperate for rendering (more efficient for workflow send your proj over to server and render for 15hrs while working on compositing with workstation.
You gotta spend some money on that vid card if not the processor. The more video memory you...

Hello,

Talking about a workstation, I suggest the usage of ECC DDR3; also, you'll waste the 2400MHz memory on a CPU wich can use up to 1600 MHz memory (if you want to overclock, you negate the system' purpose, being rock solid at all times).

I second 20salmon in adding a GPU specifically recommended by your software of choice.

Anything further let me know oh btw that no ht option on the xeon just makes it as cheap as an i3 in your business.
