My new computer with fairly fresh OS is having random freezes which require hard reboot to solve. I notice it primarly happens while using Chrome watching netflix, and running a few other background apps such as Skype, spotify, outlook, Putty. However it has happened while chrome is not even open so that is not the cause. On boot up right away skype says failed to login due to High Disk I/O I have ran CheckDisk, and other various hardware scans all coming up clean. I have also noticed fairly high RAM Usage. While idling with Spotify, Outlook, Skype open I am sitting with 5.4GB in use.

Specs:
Intel i7 4790k (Cooled by H100i)
Asus Maximus VII Forumla
16GB Ram - Corsair Vengence DDR3 2333 Mhz
EVGA 850 Watt PSU - Gold
Samsung 850 Pro SSD
WD 2TB HDD

I am having issues getting the Intel drivers from their website, using their tool. Or would I use Asus's?

Does asus have an automated driver tool? I am unsure of which drivers need updating and that would be really handy.
