Recurring performance drop issue

Back in August/September, I had to re-install Windows because I could not figure out a sudden performance drop I had encountered. The night before I ran games like Bioshock Infinite with it's highest settings at 100+ fps, whereas I could hardly reach 10 in the game at it's lowest settings after the drop occurred. I also saw that running a video while playing like I used to do without problems) was not doable without stuttering in both. This issue has returned though. I would really like to avoid another re-installation on a bimonthly schedule, so I come to you for help. I have already tried a system restore to before the issue came back, I updated my drivers (CPU, graphics card and BIOS) and OS, did an ESET Smart Security scan for threats and found temperatures of 30-40 degrees Celsius on every temperature meter I could find.

My components include:

  • ASUS Sabertooth Z77
    Intel Core i7-3770K
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 680
Corsair Vengeance 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit
Samsung SSD 840 Pro Series (250 GB)
Western Digital 2TB SATA 3.5 Hard Drive

I would be very grateful for any suggestion that may come.

I used the program you suggested and it came up with 0 malicious items. If there's anything worth mentioning in the log, please let me know so I can post it.
