I have Ubuntu 14.10 and have comcast. We have up to 25 mbs service and here on my computer with 14.10 I am getting no more then 5 mbs whereas on my wifes laptop (chromebook) she is getting a good 15 mbs.
I'm pretty sure it's the wireless network card in my computer. I have this one:

Now, before I put that card in I was having all sorts of trouble connecting to the internet. I put that one in and I get a connection but it's still not what it should be. Does anyone have any ideas?
Could it be the router? I ordered a "new" router off of ebay but I am still waiting for it to come in...
