I currently have a gtx 660 installed, but have been given the opportunity to get my hands on a Asus gtx770 2gb.

The thing is I'm not sure if my PSU will be capable of delivering enough power. I currently have a cooler master 520w rs-520-asaa-a1.

My other specs are i5 3470 (non k), asrock z77 pro4 motherboard, 8 GB ram, no CD drive. I'm running a two monitor setup by the way and will be watching 1080p movies full screen while gaming on the other monitor.

And combined power at 12V PCi-e rails up to 408 W.

I just put together my system, if I were to buy the 770, at pcpartpicker.
here's a link http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WkKJTW
It says 435 watt total.

The thing is, I've read that the 770 requires a 42 amp input. I've just uploaded a picture of my PSU: http://imgur.com/J1S0DvD - from what I can tell, I got 3 x 12v 19 amp outputs. Wouldnt that mean that I can't get more than 38 amps in total from a 6 + 8 pin connector?

You should be fine. I looked into your power supply more and people had fine results with your card.

Make sure to give Uplink the correct answer because he done all the work.

Edit: Didn't see Uplink had responded again haha. Apologies.

Where I live, the 970 costs $600, and I'm able to get a 6 month old 770 for around $200.
A new PSU would cost at least an ekstra $100, and since Christmas is around the corner, I'd like to save where possible.

UnknownArtist_ - woa, You live in a complicated place mate :(. Sorry to hear that. Well, than You know Your cards. New PSU if You want to be sure, or get GTX 770 and try it. I have tons of systems where GTX 770 runs good on 500-550W PSUs, but You just might not be the lucky one. And also, try to put her down to 160-180 dollars, if possible. That's in general a great price for GTX 770, 200 seems "fair" but not great :)
