Additional Comments:
I am open to any ideas anyone has!
Currently I've been thinking about using a Samsung 840 pro SSD as my primary drive and using my current HHD as a secondary.
Samsung Electronics 840 Pro Series 2.5-Inch 256 GB SATA 6GB/s Solid State Drive MZ-7PD256BW (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B009NB8WRU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER)

My computer was originally a Dell XPS 630i, and I am hoping to use its tower and 750w PSU if possible, but if not I am open to replacing them as well if people think that would be best.

I'm hoping to be able to play games like the Witcher 3, DA: Inquisition, GTA:V for example on the best possible settings for my price range, but I don't need everything maxed out if that's not possible. I will also be using Windows 7 until windows 10 comes out if that makes any difference.

Thanks everyone!

Thanks rockie_, I'm liking your second option - I don't think that I would need the i7.
Can you tell me the difference between the two Mobos? And do you know how the 970 compares with the 770? Is it worth the jump in price?

Also, do you know if these components will fit in the Dell XPS case or if there are any issues using the old PSU?

Edit- And for RAM, what is the most important factor? I see some DDR3-2133 options for the similar prices, and then some that are way more expensive. What makes different RAMs better?

Thanks!

The main difference between Asus Z97-A and Asrock Z97 Pro4 is the Asus supports SLI but the Asrock Z97 Pro4 no . But the Asrock has great heatsinks and 6 power phase design . The Asus has 8 power phase design . Both have support of M.2_SSD and faster RAM .

GTX 970 is 32% faster than GTX 770 and has 4GB VRAM , also draws only up to 145W but GTX 770 - 230W .

Dell XPS 630i has full tower case , so the parts should fit in

Hi Everyone,
I wasn't able to buy this build when I had hoped to and I am now planning on getting the components between now and boxing week. Here is the build that rockie_ suggested which seems to be great for my purposes:

I've been watching prices, and also given that a month has gone by since he suggested it I had a few questions:

Are there any equivalent components that I should be looking at that would be cheaper than what I have up there?

Do you think that the 380 for the GTX970 + free shipping is the best deal that I can expect to see including Boxing Day sales? This seems to be the lowest price it has been including Black Friday sales, so I am worried that if I don't jump on it it may be gone.

Thanks everyone!

Hey rockie_,
Other than appearance, is that RAM equally good? And for the MoBo, is that equally as good as the other one? I'm happy to buy the other if its better, I'm just wondering if there are equivalent products that have come out in the last month that change things =)

Also, do you have any thoughts on the GTX 970 price?

Thanks!
