New mobo causing computer freezes?

Recently just went from a 970 to a 990fx motherboard and i haven't installed any drivers for it, the box did not come with a CD to install any, is the reason i get these constant screen freezes because i haven't installed the drivers for it? It's a completely new rig as well

You maybe don't reinstall the OS, and two MB maybe from difference manufacturers. Or maybe the new MB has problem. Can you list your PC specification?

You are better to reinstall the OS if you get the problem, but you may try to install the AMD chipset driver, or update the BIOS, something like that.

Go to the mobo website and get all the latest drivers and check for BIOS updates. Did you buy this used - it should have come with a driver disk (they may have been out of date, but still should have had one if a new mobo.
