I got a 4.5ghz oc on a 4+1 with a 6350 and a 233 fsb to keep the voltage and multiplier low..

There are much better motherboards to spend your money on and I dont care if I need to buy a new pc so if you dont already own it.

I think the one suggested is a 8+2 and gigabyte also makes a cheaper 970 with a 8+2.

Looking at that motherboard, it's literally the only 990FX chipset motherboard that I would not overclock on, AMD CPU's torture the VRM's when overclocked so you want a higher power phase than 4+1. A much better alternative would be a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3.
