Phenom x4 or Intel Core 2 Quad?

generally the intel core series were about 10% per clock stronger than the phenom II which was stronger than the phenom.
if you can get a phenom II 960t or better then go for it, as they were the only 1 that would give the intels a run for there money.
assuming your looking at a q6600 or better.

I am not really sure since I don't know much about AMD processors. But I'm referring the 4 cores Phenom, Yeah let's say Phenom II, which one is better between the Core 2 Quad?

Thanks! But in your opinion which one would you prefer between the two? Because I have this two old boards and processors and I don't know which one should I choose.

I asked my friend and he said this was the model of my processor. I currently have this one I'm not planning on buying it so I guess the price wouldn't be a problem anymore.hehehe
Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q8400 and AMD Phenom II X4 840 Quad-Core 3.2GHz. Now which one is better?
