My windows 8.1 laptop has stopped recognizing wifi connections after I restarted after removing the QualcomM Atheros Killer Network Manager. I then did a system restore and restored to a past date. Later, I undid this because I discovered it did not help. In Network Connections, it only shows Ethernet (which I have never used) and Bluetooth. Please help.

Solution
First of all, check your laptop doesn't have a wifi on/off function key...

Then, contact your laptop vendor, (especially if you have warranty...)

Next, check in your BIOS that the wifi adapter hasn't been disabled

Next, get on the internet with an ethernet cable, run full antivirus and antimalware scans with the likes of BitDefender and Malwarebytes

Next, go to the website of your laptop vender and look for updated drivers etc
