Hey, I just bought a Asus GTX 780 OC for 250$. The question is, should I sell the 780 and buy a 970? Ultimately, I'll be going SLI on either setup. I know the performance of the 970 is like 15-20% better and its like 50-100$ more think its worth it ?

If you have already both the gtx 780 then no need to change it in my opinion the price difference is 100$ and if you sell the gtx 780 now you will not get more than 200$ for a used card so that would be a loss so its up to you in SLI setup 2x780 will cost you 500$ and 2x 970 will cost you 700$ .

Here is a total comparison chart between the two cards look at it i hope it will help to to make your desiccation http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1036?vs=1355

Actually 250$ for a gtx 780 is a very good deal but gtx 970 is much better than it no doubt so if you have no problem spending extra money then obviously go for the gtx 970 its no doubt a more futuristic card compared to gtx 780.

Personally, I'd wait a couple months before making any GPU moves. All the new ATI architecture is coming out in Q1 of 2015, and nVidia will respond with either new cards or lower prices — either way, you win.
