I'm upgrading my GPU very soon. Thoughts?

I'm only really interested in the top dogs out there. I'm upgrading from a GTX 680. I could go AMD which would be either the R9 290x or 295x2. Or, I could just stick with Nvidia. 780 ti or a 980 series card. The 290x and 780 ti cards you can get around $350-$450. Also, I could get one of those 295x2 cards for around $700. The 980's seem to be around $600-$700. I plan on getting a higher resolution monitor here soon as well. Some of my specs are I5-3570k, 8GBs Corsair, Corsair TX 850 PSU, Gigabyte UD3H Z77X MOBO. Just looking for opinions. The more the merrier.

I'd lean to the 295x2 if not for the fact that you'd want to upgrade your power supply as well. And of course move the tower to the arctic

If you're looking for pure horsepower, the 295X2 is king. But you would have to consider radiator mounting and possible crossfire issues. I would keep it simple and just grab a 980.

If I did decide to go with the 295x2. What kind of Crossfire issues would i have?

For the most part it's fine, but some games may not scale well with a crossfire setup and the performance is more dependent on AMD's drivers.
