I have a laptop with a 5400rpm 1tb hard drive. what should the sequential read and write speeds be? My laptop is almost 2 years old and im scared its going to die soon?

the current read and writes speeds are 85mbps and 80mbps. Is this normal?
It feels like its becoming a bit slower.

It is a Hp pavillion g6. i5 3210m . 6gb ram. idk wot the hard drive is doe

Solution
That's about right for read/write speeds. The laptop is probably feeling slower because you have a lot of applications installed on it.

There is an excellent testing utility called Hard Disk Sentinel

It will tell you if there is a serious problem.
