WiFi dropping on Windows 8.1

Hello, my wifi seems to be dropping after I updated to Windows 8.1

This was never a problem on Windows 8, but it was prevalent after the upgrade to 8.1

I have tried near on everything I could possibly think of. I've tried reinstalling the network driver, updating it. Everything listed here: http://www.registryrecycler.com/blog/2013/11/fix-wi-fi-connectivity-issues-in-windows-8-1/

And on top of that, I even did a fresh install of Windows 8.1, this problem does not occur with an ethernet connection.

It's driving me insane, and I can't find a cause nor a fix for this issue. I was hoping some of you could shed some light on this issue. My laptop is: Acer Aspire E1-571

could you describe Network Interface Card name?

Manufacturer Intel, ?

Is the current driver from Microsoft or manufacturer, could also check and see Acer vendor for this specific laptop and see if they added new drivers for 8.1 most vendors would.

Broadcom I think, and I believe it's from the manufacturer since I went to the Acer website, and installed the latest broadcom driver for my laptop model.

Actually try to download all windows updates up to the most recent on.

This might be drastic but what if you tried to reset your router?

this might work;

Open up Device Manger and opening up Network Adaptors, right click the wireless adaptor you are using then click on Properties, you will have the option to turn off power saving in the power management tab.

I'm positive it's not router related, it worked fine on Windows 8, and it's not affecting any other laptops or smart phones in the house. I've also tried turning power saving off, but that didn't work neither

try this; and then run cmd > ping and type in any site

Open up Device Manger and open up Network Adapters, right click the wireless adapter you are using then click on Properties, advanced. change to, Do you have Bluetooth on the laptop?

can you change it to whatever wireless channel available? see if it works

note# I mean in the router settings you can access router usually at 192.168.2.254

Download this tool to see occupied channels choose the channel with least traffic.

Yes, that's the setting I mean, run software to see which channels are occupied the most.

Could you try running the inbuilt windows diagnostics for network? it might be able to solve some config issues.

Could you disable Ipv6 in adapter settings

Also tried disabling ipv6, that doesn't seem to fix the issue neither

Run > netsh diag gui maybe it can solve some kind of configuration problem. What kind of devices are near you that could interfere?

My Nexus 5 Smartphone is next to me, not sure if that would be a problem?

try to launch network diagnostics from search in the start screen it should pop up

this here below might be interesting ;

Windows 8.1 does not support WPA. It supports WEP and WPA2. Are you using WPA?

When my wifi drops to limited, the diagnostic tool states that the default gateway is not available, and fixes the issue temporarily.
