How to tell if I fried my motherboard?

I have a ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX Motherboard. I had an accident with my old power supply where some juice got spilled on it. I know for sure that the power supply got fried because it shut off right away. I ordered a new power supply and hooked everything up and my PC will not turn on. It runs for a few seconds and then turns off, and then runs for a few seconds and turns off again. When I unplug the 8-pin Connector that give the motherboard power it stays running but I do not get a picture. Did I fry my motherboard or is it something else like my CPU?

It's been a while - How is it going?

It's probably your motherboard, I'd guess.
If your CPU'd be the faulting module, then you'd probably not get any boot at all.
Can you access BIOS in some way? Or does it shut down before?
You could always try to flash your BIOS, aswell.
Im unfamiliar with ASRock, and how they work. Republic of Gamers' motherboards has a ROG-Connect thingy, which allows you to flash from an USB stick. Check here if they got some instructions.
If you have the possibility, try testing essential parts in other computers. Like your CPU for instance.

Good Luck!
