CPU or Graphics Card: Which to upgrade first?

Am I better off keeping my amd phenom II and upgrading my graphics card (raedon 5700 series) or do I take advantage of sales and spring for the intel i3 4160?

You're better off upgrading your GPU first. For gaming, you will get more fps with an i3 or something higher, but if you had to go up to an i3 and sacrifice budget on a lower end GPU, you would end up with less performance overall. There is a chance there will be a slight bottleneck if you opt to upgrade your GPU, but you would still see a huge upgrade in gaming performance.
