GTX 980 purple tone VGA to DVI

Hello guys

I have just bought GTX 980 G1 and It has a purple tone when using DVI port with VGA adaptor to my screen!

I tried to use HDMI and it's working perfectly but...

Is my DVI port faulty?

Or is it because of VGA adaptor?

Please let me know what do you think.

It will be the adapter. Avoid using them wherever possible. When upgrading the graphics card it's often necessary to factor in the cost of a new monitor if your current one only has a VGA port but your new card doesn't.
