I have no clue if I am being stupid or not but I can't find any 6 or 8 pin connectors to power a geforce gtx 760
My psu is an atx switching power supply and the model is ATX-500
My current gpu is an amd radeon gf 6670 2gb and I want to get an EVGA geforce gtx 760

Solution

Sorry to say that you have an inadequate power supply for that particular video card.

The most you could run with that is a gtx 750 ti that doesn't need additional power cables.

You are going to need to buy a quality 500w power supply if you want anything higher.

That is not enough information on the power supply.

Open your case and look at the power supply, it should have a sticker with make and model information.

Post back when you have the specs.

500w would be plenty for a gtx 760 IF it was a quality unit.

From what I can see it says
Atx switching power supply and underneath that is says model: ATX-500
I will take a picture of it and link it
