Here are my specs:

MoBo: Asus Z97 Sabertooth Mark 1
CPU: Intel i5 4690K
RAM: 4x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1866MHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW
PSU: Corsair CX 600
HDD: WD 512GB HDD
1x 140mm fan
1x 120mm fan
2x 120mm fans w/ LEDs
CD-R/DVD-R Drive

It was working fine before I added the Noctua. I installed it per instructions, so I took everything apart, put the back plate on, etc. When I turn the power on, the dard drive spins up and all the fans start going, including those on the Noctua. I've tried reseating all connectors. I don't see any of the POST LEDs on the Sabertooth light up at all. What's going on?

I removed the GPU and two sticks of RAM, but the other two are under the Noctua and I can't get to them without removing it. I assume that if I remove the Noctua I'll have to redo the thermal paste. I don't hear any beeps.

There was a problem wwith the fans on the Noctua; the Sabertooth has a distinct lack of 3-pin fan connectors, so I plugged the 3-pin flag plug into the 4-pin Fan_Opt connector, having read here that plugging a 3-pin into a 4-pin was okay. The only 3-pic connector available on the board is an "Asst_Fan" connector. Should I plug it in there?

I took it all apart again to get to the Noctua's connectors. I took the y-split cable off and plugged the fan connectors into the CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT plugs; no change. Have I fried my MoBo or CPU? How could I go about checking? I have a multimeter.

I just noticed that my GTX 970 FTW's fans don't start up when I power the rig up. That can't be good.

I suppose I'll have to make yet another trip out to Fry's to return the GPU, and wait yet another month for them to get a replacement in.

I plugged in both 6-pin connectors on the GPU; it has no 8-pin connector.

I tried removing the card and routing the video through the MoBo's HDMI port, but I still got no signal and no POST.

I'm pretty sure it just needs the two 6-pin connectors.

Even if the GPU were underpowered, that wouldn't explain why the system won't boot without the GPU plugged in.

I even tried unplugging the HDD and CD-R/DVD-R; I couldn't get the RAM sticks out without taking the Noctua off AGAIN.
