I'm about to install the Windows 10 preview, i know there can be many obstacles (it's a beta after all) but who can say how good the driver support is? I mean are there huge differences, can Windows 8/generic drivers be used just fine on 10, without too many instabilities?

Is there a great chance that Windows 8 drivers won't work or be incompatible with 10 or for the ones that tried it, does it work in most cases? Especially for example, how does the ATI driver 14.11.2 (beta) work on 10, for example Nvidia has feedback topics for those using an regular driver release on the Windows 10 preview but to collect problems/difficulties, for that example Nvidia indicates it works as reference (is compatible) but how about ATI gpu drivers

And then for who has it, which ATI drivers work the best on the 10 preview, like the beta?

I'm mainly asking about the driver OS's structure.. like grab a case, if you would just install an random driver that Windows 8 works with, or a generic from devices you have, does it function correctly most of the times or work/install at all? As example, between 7 and 8/8.1 compatibility remained great. I didn't find any clue on this nowhere

There was a problem simply using one of the newer AMD processors for basic computing, no graphics card in use. W10 experienced random crashes from any graphics load on processor. AMD has now released a W10 specific version of Catalyst which solved some, but not all of the crashes. Old software games which generate a lot of processor intensive graphic effects and heat demands on processor cooling fan may still cause rapid failure and reboot. Not high-tech war games, simple solitaire type games like "Mahjong Champ." On the other hand, basic computing tasks like office software and internet browsing no longer cause crashes. For those putting together inexpensive, basic function machines for users, this is good news and AMD is back in the picture.
