Hi, I am building a compact (mini ITX) gaming computer for my flatmate, and wanted to check that I'm not making any bad decisions with parts!

It is for gaming, but will also be used for adobe suite/autodesk products (hence the need for the i7). The Budget is ~£1000 also to include monitor, keyboard/mouse. (Any suggestions for a monitor would be appreciated).

PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/nGZRHx

Primary Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Main Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£49.00 @ Amazon UK)

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X 3GB WINDFORCE Video Card (£203.90 @ Amazon UK)

Case: BitFenix Prodigy (Black) Mini ITX Tower Case (£68.95 @ Amazon UK)

Power Supply: Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (£69.98 @ Amazon UK)

Thanks for your help,

You want an IPS monitor for adobe and stuff?

that PSU is a very bad psu for gaming pcs, get a SeaSonic 650W PSU (seasonic has very good quality psus). You don't need a 750W psu, way overkill.

Ok, updated to a SeaSonic M12II 650W.

In terms of monitor I suggested an IPS (which is what I use) but I think he would rather have more money for the graphics card - and providing a TN is decent in terms of colour it isn't too critical (it's not being calibrated to a printer or anything so even an IPS won't be perfect).
