Bios can't detect SSD

Hi everyone, basically I had some problems with my PC and it was just getting filled with stuff I didn't want, so I decided to reinstall cleanly, formatting all my hard drives etc.

Everything worked fine, except now I'm running into this exact problem: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1809474/bios-detect-ssd.html

I tried messaging that guy, except I get "Error 403 - Unauthorised access".

Basically, every hour or so, the program I am currently using (can even be the explorer window), will slow down, and suddenly not respond at all, this will happen to all the other programs i try to use, until eventually my PC freezes completely for around a minute or two, and then suddenly the colours kinda spam (SOMEWHAT similar to - but by no means exactly - this: http://s278.photobucket.com/user/munepodris/media/tv-color-bars-no-signal.png.html). Then I will get a blue screen.

If I'm currently playing a game while this happens, then it will also make a really loud sound for a second, then crash, and then keep making that sound while in the blue screen.

After the blue screen, pressing the "reset" button on my PC will make it so my Bios does not recognise my SSD, and I will get a black screen with the underscore key blinking in the top left corner, as if it's trying to load something, but can't find anything. If I press F8 (to bring up the list of bootable devices) my SSD is not listed. HOWEVER, if i fully turn off my PC, then boot it up again, my SSD is recognised again, but is no longer the priority disk, and I have to manually select it by pressing F8.

In my most recent experience of this, I (for the first time) did not once press the reset button, but instantly turned it off and back on, and pressed DEL to get into my Bios. My SSD was not only recognised but also in the correct priority position, so I could just exit the Bios and my PC started up.

It does not matter what task I run, it happens when I'm just listening to music, when I'm working on Microsoft Word, or when I'm gaming.

I performed a reset on my CMOS just yesterday, and the problem still occurs. (I did the reset by removing the silver CMOS battery and leaving it out for a while and then inserting it. If I did it wrong then I shall try performing a reset on my CMOS battery again, I will however need instructions on how to do it. I do not have a CMOS jumper in my motherboard)

I have an Asus P8P67 Deluxe Motherboard, and a Crucial M4 SSD with 128GB. I didn't have these problems before the clean install of Windows. If you need any other specs just tell me.

Also, I don't really want to clean install Windows AGAIN, as it might not even fix the problem, and it was really a quite long process that I don't wish to repeat.

Any help on this subject will be greatly appreciated, and thank you very much in advance.

Solution
Hey there, marmarkill!

Have you tried all the troubleshooting options given in the thread you posted?
Each of the proposed solutions can actually cause the SSD and your whole system in general to act this way.
Another thing I can suggest to check is the firmware of your SSD. You can see that by searching the SSD model on your manufacturer's website.
Also here are 3 different ways to reset the BIOS:

Hope this helps. :)
