Need some help to know what to upgrade on my pc

So I have;
8GB Ram
GA 78MLT USB3 Motherboard
AMD FX 4170
Radeon HD 7770
550w Power supply
(Any other info needed can be supplied) I want to upgrade my CPU to an AMD FX 8350 and my
Graphics card to an Radeon R9 290. What else would I need to be able to do this and could I actually do this?

If you do go with an FX8350 & R9 290 you would probably be wise to get an aftermarket cooler.

You will need to update the BIOS on the motherboard to run the 8350 processor and that will be pushing that motherboard to the limit so no overclocking. for that processor and video card your going to need a new power supply the 550 Watt is not really enough. If it's a quality brand then a R9 280 would still be a big upgrade without updating the power supply.
