Hi, I need help picking parts for my new PC I'll be building. $1500-2000 is going to be for components excluding peripherals such as monitor, mouse, headset, etc. I'll be using this PC for gaming. I plan on getting these parts during the black Friday sales so that some components may be cheaper. Please suggest some builds for me. Any suggestions on which monitor I should get is also welcome (<30 inches). The more suggestions the better.
Thanks!

Note: I've already got storage, so you can exclude that. Oh and I'm also looking for water-cooling over air cooled. Looking for 2x 8gb ram instead of 4x 4.

Solution
Added a SSD for the operating system and programs I really can't think of a single reason to spend more money. very good motherboard marked down from $180, top of the line video card, great case, water cooler, enough power to add another 980 in the future if needed.

This would be for 1440p, if you want to go 1080p then drop one 970.

What resolution do you plan on using?
