Build Vs. Buy

I'm looking to spend anywhere between about $1000-$1500 on a new gaming desktop. It will only be used for gaming so nothing else is really relevant to me. I'd really prefer to buy an already made one but it seems like the 980 is a much better graphics card and only used on $2500 and up premade setups. So am I really going to be pushed into making my own if I have that preference? Is it a valid preference or are other graphics cards not that far behind. If somebody could point me in the direction of a premade computer that would be perfect for just gaming that'd be awesome! If not could some of the people that love building em' up give me some ideas? :D thanks!

BTW - Not sure if the game matters but it's World of Warcraft. Going to get sucked back in by the new expansion and I'd love to be able to play on the highest settings with a decent framerate!

~Questions I'm supposed to answer.

Buying: As soon as I find the perfect one!

Do you need to buy OS: Yes most likely but don't consider it in the budget.

Location: West Hartford, CT. If it's in a store HELL YES!

Overclocking: Yes (if it's already done ideally, not at all computer savvy and I'm not sure how I'd go about finding someone to do so)

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

This was marked as solved so I'm not thinking it's going to get any attention. But if that's the case what would a build look like in that price range? Looking through a few pages I see so many ideas from members but they all have if's and but's in them so I can't really get too much information out of them. You know?
