Is 4770k still a good CPU for next couple of years?

Hi everyone, I currently have an i7 4770K at stock (I don't overclock) and also have a GTX 770.

I game time to time on 1920x1080 and was wondering, is it worth upgrading either my GPU or CPU now?

Or will those last at least a couple more years? I don't do heavy gaming but when I do I like to play at max settings on some of the new titles that come out.

Is it worth upgrading to the GTX 900 series and also the 4790K? Or should I hold out on what I have for a few more years?

Thanks!

That CPU is solid for gaming, I think you'll be fine for some years to come. No need to upgrade yet.
The GPU will get outdated soon but right now it's still a fine card. I'd wait a little bit to see what new cards come out next year.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping. I just bought the GPU last year, crazy how fast things can get out dated.

I wouldn't really say outdated. The card is still pretty good.
Give some extra months to see what we get from nVidia/AMD the coming year ;)
