Hello, I am new to this site and couldnt find anything in the forums that I understood and could solve my problem. I am sorry as I am savvy with technology but have never had to deal with this before since I bought my desktop from HP and didnt have to build it myself. I bought a new GeForce GTX 760 graphics card to replace my AMD Radeon 6850 that I had put into my HP computer when I bought it online. After a lot of work, I got the casing over my power supply opened only to find that there were no Supplementary Power Connectors (that is what http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-760/specifications says is needed for my new graphics card to run.) Everything looks like it was glued/soldered (pardon my spelling I'm not sure what the word for it is) into a board. There are no plastic slots for me to plug the two 6 pin things into. Literally every wire running into the power supply is stuck into the board at the bottom, there are no spaces like I said to plug or unplug something. I would try getting a new power supply but I'm guessing I would need all new wires for my components since one end is attached onto the power supply and I dont feel like it would be safe to remove them. Also, I dont know what any of the cords are so I wouldnt know how to go about buying new ones since there are so many. Finally, my question is, what can I do (if its even possible) to get this to work?

Edit: Here is a link to a picture of what the wires look like running into my power supply: http://imgur.com/ReU97HS

Am I to understand you've actually opened the PSU itself? You should never do that.

You need to replace the entire PSU, making sure the new one has the connectors you need.
the picture was not really clear to me but it seems the board circuit for your power supply? did you pry open your PSU box? anyway 6850 use one 6 pin from your power supply. if you lack another one 6 pin using molex will solve the problem if you have 2 free 4-pin peripheral power connector from your PSU.

Sorry for the late response. I had 0 knowledge of anything related to a psu and thought that the molex cord included with my graphic card was supposed to be plugged into the psu. When I found out that the cords went into the psu, I figured I would need to open it and plug the molex cords in. Its an old one and i have since bought a Thermaltake 600w psu as a replacement. I was so upset for the amount of time wasted trying to get into that thing. I guess thats what I get for diving in without knowledge.
