Firefox search bar returns results ONLY from google japan but I'm in Canada!!!???

my firefox search bar suddenly returns results now only from google.co.jp. I have tried a fresh install, searched for rootkits/trojans/virus's and nothing. Tried running in firefox safemode and still the same issue. whats going on??????:??:

I fixed the problem by using a different modem to get a new IP address. Using the ASUS modem and the address that was assigned to it, I was assumed to be in Japan. When my internet provider provided me another modem, it was assigned a new, different IP address, and the problem then went away. I then tested a used, very old modem I had laying around and the problem did not happen . For whatever reason the IP address given to the ASUS modem was associated with Japan even though my internet provider which is based in Canada is the owner of that IP address block.

So thankfully this problem was not a virus or trojan or redirect virus. And thankfully my ISP provided me with a free router. Although not nearly as fast as the Asus, it was nice to have a functional, english internet back LOL
